As the owner of Phhantom Websites since 1997, I found this to be amongst the worst hosting services ever as of 09/01/2009. Poor Customer Service, ( They hardly speak English as well as don't have the power to fix anything. They are a glorified Answering service! There 1866 Number that is on there main website hangs up on you 90% of the time and doesn't let you through. Client of mine had upgraded platforms and lost all his email and folders that were saved on the original server, They lost the images of the data for backup within 2 hours. Apparently EASY CGI doesn't back up there web servers for there clients. Asked for supervisor to call me back and 4 days later still no phone call!

Easycgi were a little more expensive than other web hosting companies but i still decided to choose them. I singed up for the advances x2 plan i am happy with this plan. it took me some time to learn how to use the control panel and how to use all it ...

I singed up for the advances x2 plan i am happy with this plan. it took me some time to learn how to use the control panel and how to use all its features but once i got it everything was easy from there. customer service is good and i didnt have any other problems with them.

EasyCGI used to be a good, easy to use web hosting company. You could manage everything easily, point your domain wherever you wanted, set up custom DNS records, etc. Now they've made it all so ridiculously convoluted and unnecessarily complex, that it's impossible to find anything to do with what you want to. I can no longer use my actual domain name for my webmail access i.e. instead of http://mail.mydomain.com, I now have no choice but to use their "http://www.yourwebhosting.com/mail/". What's the point in having my own domain name if I have to use their generic addresses. I have now been attempting to renew my domain name, and it looks as though it may be expiring, as their system will not allow me to do so. Yes, I know what I'm talking about, Yes, I know I have my information correct. I used to work for them, so I know how the system should work. No, I'm not writing a negative review b/c I don't work for them anymore - I took a position with another company, and left on very good terms. I have been happy with them (EasyCGI) until recently when they made these changes that are simply absurd, and make their system, in my opinion, too difficult to navigate, including to even simply renew your own domain name. With changing addresses, which you pay for, by buying your own domain name, to generic addresses, thus taking away part of what you pay hard earned money for. ***As soon as I can, I'm moving away from EasyCGI.***
